What problems are associated with bribery?
This of course, is always one of the first thing a customer faces when using a recruitment agency.

But we get it.
Bribery (along with many other factors) will dictate whether or not you want to use a recruitment agency or not.
As you might imagine though, the problem with answering this question though is that every candidate is different and there is only so much that we can do to ensure bribery does not happen in the workplace.
I will do my best to give you the reasons what problems can be associated with bribery.
What Is A Bribe: An Introduction
Simply a bribe is:
“dishonestly persuade (someone) to act in one’s favour by a gift of money or other inducement”
While a bribe does not need to be actual money. It can be any form of advantage, offered, requested or received.
A contract does not need to have been won for a corruption offence to have been committed.
Similarly, a recipient does not need to benefit personally from a bribe – it may be the intended beneficiary is a third party or a company.
Finally, bribery can occur in the private as well as the public sector – it is not just about our relationship with public officials.
Employee Responsibility Of Reporting Bribes
The prevention, detection and reporting of bribery is the responsibility of all employees.
Suitable channels of communication by which employees or others can report confidentially any suspicion of bribery will be maintained.
Employees who are suspected of involvement in bribery or corruption will be subject to disciplinary procedure.
Governing Body Policies Of Bribery
The Government considers that procedures put in place by commercial organisations wishing to prevent bribery being committed on their behalf should be informed by six principles.
These are set out on GOV.UK Website page 21-31.
The procedures set out by the government body is outcome focussed and designed to flexible in order to work around each different case.
This means that there is a huge variety of circumstances that commercial organisations can find themselves in.
What Are The Problems Associated With Bribes?
There will always be different challenges faced by different statures of business considering smaller organisations will face completely different challenges compared to a large corporate entities.
The outcome should always be fairly similar and effective with regards to anti-bribery procedures.
